Mahmoud Dowlatabadi became honorary secretary of Akbar Radi Theater Festival

Iran Theater- By the suggestion and decree of Hamideh Banoo Angha, the chairman of the board of the Institute of Akbar Radi and the policy council of the first Akbar Radi Theater Festival, Mahmoud Dowlatabadi - author, playwright and screenwriter- became the honorary secretary of the first Akbar Radi Theater Festival.

Iran Theater- By the suggestion and decree of Hamideh Banoo Angha, the chairman of the board of the Institute of Akbar Radi and the policy council of the first Akbar Radi Theater Festival, Mahmoud Dowlatabadi - author, playwright and screenwriter- became the honorary secretary of the first Akbar Radi Theater Festival.

At the fourth meeting of the policy council of the festival, which was held at the new building of the theater Forum, Behzad Sedighi, the festival's secretary presented a brief report on the activities and introducing the sections of the festival to Mahmoud Dowlatabadi and thanked him for becoming  the honorary Secretary of the festival, he said: "Your presence at the Akbar Radi Theater Festival  is very honorable and it is encouraging.”

At the meeting some famous figures were present such Hamideh Banoo Angha, Hadi Marzban, Behzad Sedighi, Hossein Mosafer Astaneh, Mohammad Amir yarhmadi, Behrouz Mahmodi Bakhtiari, Amir Esmi, Ruhollah Jafari, Yousef Bapiri , Omid Tayrani Bigham.

Behzad Sedighi presented his explanations about the awards and Akbar Radi medallion and said: "The festival will award prizes to the winners of each section that is one person, and for the first time the winner of  playwriting  section will be awarded Akbar Radi medallion. We have ordered these medals  to be made and will soon be unveiled by a ceremony.”

Mahmoud Dowlatabadi is an Iranian writer and actor, known for his promotion of social and artistic freedom in contemporary Iran and his realist depictions of rural life, drawn from personal experience.
