I owe to theater

Iran Theater- Forough Ghajabagli is a famous cinema, stage and T.V actress who won best actress( Tiantan award ) in BEIJING INT’L FILM FESTIVAL for the movie “Tehran,My love” by Ali Jaber Ansari.

Apart from acting and directing for many years, she has been educating young people and transferring her experiences and earning many awards. Qajabgeli is a Southern born Artist that  studied arts science in Tarbiat Modares university  and  acting and directing as well.

She says about winning award in the  international festival:” It was strange and at the same time fascinating feeling, and when I heard my name as the best  actress, I did not see myself alone as a recipient of the award, and I was pleased to be able to present the name of Iran to a valuable global festival. And I am very happy about this.”

She studied theater and has successful career in cinema and T.V as well. Does she think the studying theater help her in cinema?

She replied:” owe myself to the theater. The theater is a noble, pure and transcendental art that has been influential in many arts and has been a source of good nutrition for cinema and television for years, and it seems to me apart from the artistic values of the theater. I am only the actors who experience the role of transformation in a role and become one.”
