Meeting of the playwright Association was held

Iran Theater- A meeting of Playwrights and Translators Association of Theater Forum was held at the Emarat Theater.

The meeting was attended by Mohammad Reza Khaki, Mohammad Amir Yarahmadi, Hamid Reza Naeimi, Salma Salamati, Asghar Noori, Ali Abedi and a group of board members and members of the playwright and Translator Association at the Shahin Serkisian Theater Hall.

At the beginning of the meeting, Mohammad Amir Yar Ahmadi, head of the playwright Association, said: "The playwright must work with a dynamic and active group to work well and need strategic ideas. But when I review the theater in Iran, I realize the lack of a strategic theory, and in this case, it's impossible to determine the position of the playwright.”

"We need to solve crises with strategic ideas, while there is no such thing," he continued.

Mohamadreza Khaki said:” playwriting is a creative writing ,while we have a school for dramatic literature, and all of the students are required to write a play for their dissertation, this is a very damaging, and I believe those who did it ,they don’t know the meaning of theater and playwriting.”

Ali Abedi stated: "I write a play to direct it, and in recent years I've seen that writers have no concern for directing their work. It's also worth noting that I have never seen a show sold out because of famous playwright .So I write the play to direct myself.”

Hamid Reza Naimi said: "Today artists do not help each other and criticize their works. I recall that one director once proudly told me not to see the theater.”

He added:” During these decades there has never been a defensive thing in drama writing. My horror is that Iranian  playwrights come to the end of artistic works at the age of fifty “
