The Chairs is welcomed by Canadian

Iran Theater-Jafar Mahyari’s  “The chairs” went on stage in Canada and is welcomed by audiences.

Jafar Mahyari, the artistic director of the Zendegi Theater Company in Iran, directed “The Chairs” at Theater Encounter in the Canadian city of Calgary on April 24 and 25.

 

“The Chairs” is a performance art that brings together people from different nationalities and is based on The Conference of the Birds by Attar of Nishapur

 

Music plays a major role in this play, and singer Farshad Nedai and setar player Amin Sheikhi collaborate in this project, while Mahyari  also play santur.
