Ali Fotohi, actor and director of Aina Theater group said The 27th Indian Theater Olympaid invited them to run “Romeo and Juliet” and “The songs of one hundred loving Ophelia” in the festival. These two anti-war, peace and friendship shows will represent our country in this global arena.”

The 27th Indian Theater Olympiad will be held in 1-10 September.
In the theater competition section, the categories includes contemporary theater, comedy, historical, mythical, folklore, experimental theater, drama dance, as well as non-verbal shows and pantomime.
The Indian Theatre Olympiad, an international theatre event that started in 1993 was one of its kind in the country with over 3,500 performing artistes participating in nearly 70 plays and 50 national classical and folk dances. It was a one-man show till last year. Artistes from countries like Iran, Canada, Peru, Brazil, Malaysia, Pakistan and Russia used to take part with great enthusiasm.
