The 26th International Children and Youth Theater Festival with the slogan "Child, Nature, Theater" will be held by the Directorate General of Culture and Islamic Guidance of Hamadan Province in cooperation with the Directorate of the Performing Arts Center and the Iranian Performing Arts Association in the fall of 2019 in the historic city of Hamedan.
The theme of the festival is free, but by focusing on the ethical themes, genuine Islamic and Iranian culture, the relationship between the child and nature, family, vitality and hope in the society and the next generation in the form of creative and productive works will be the priority.
The 26th International Children's and Youth Theater Festival will be held in eight sections, which will be: Childrens Theater Competition, Teenage Theater Competition, Young Theater Competition, Street Theater Competition, International Theater, Playwriting Contest, Student Theater, Workshops and Specialist Meetings.
The children theater competition section hosts special shows for children from 6 to 12 years old , and the teenage competition section will host special shows for children from 12 to 16 years old.
The international theater section is held with the participation of selected shows from other countries and it’ an uncompetitive section. Considering the importance of theater art in student artistic activity, the student headquarters is organized with the participation of selected groups in this field. The terms and conditions for accepting the works of this section will be announced subsequently.
