Time of performances “Curse of the starving Class” to Change

Iran Theater-At the final days of “Curse of the starving Class” running the time of performances has changed.

 

Ashkan Khatibi, actor, musician and translator directed Sam Shepard’s  “Curse of the starving  Class”.

He translated “Curse of the starving Class” to farsi 13 years ago but it published last year.

The Book “Love and Hate” includes two plays by late Sam Shepard: Shepard’s  “Curse of the starving  Class” and “savage/love”.

Omid Sohrabi does dramaturgy and rewriting the play.

Ashkan Khatibi directed Neil Simon” The Good Doctor” last year.

Anahita Darghahi,Hooman Seyedi,Amir Pakdel, Noora Peydaish far, Mir Saeed Molavian,Behtash Sakenin, Masoud Ramezani will act in the show.

“Curse of the starving Class” has gone on stage at  IranShahr Theater Complex.

Curse of the Starving Class is a play by Sam Shepard, considered the first of a series on family tragedies. Some critics consider it part of a Family Trilogy that includes Buried Child (1979) and True West (1980). Others consider it part of a quintet that includes Fool for Love (1983) and A Lie of the Mind (1985). The play was commissioned by Joseph Papp and premiered in London in 1977 before playing at Papp's New York Shakespeare Festival in 1978.
