The main focus and effort of the, Somayeh Mehri as stage director is on the challenges facing the women, She designs and directs shows based on the sacred defense literature and the war era, based on her life experiences during Iran-Iraq war in city of Kermanshah as well. She directed “the bitter coffee” in Entezami theater Hall recently. She directed the series and shows such as Taboo, Scorpion and Alzheimer in previous years.
Mehri spoke to Iran Theater about her new dramatic activities, saying: "It's supposed to direct the" Zero Seconds " on August, which has a dramatic theme and fiction related to the sacred defense.”
The actress said about the feature of the play": "I wrote this text with Kamran Shahlayi, and last year we performed at the Conquest of Khorramshahr Festival, which attracted the attention of the audience, and eventually received 13 diplomas from the festival. We received honor and statue. Generally speaking, I have been formed on the basis of my personal memories since the war in my city , Kermanshah. My teenage years are joined by bitter memories and brutal bombardments of Saddam in Kermanshah, and I have written numerous works on this. The story is based on a true historical event, which the Iraqi Air Force bombarded more than 21 cities in December.”
