What are Ali Nasirian's concerns about the Iranian play?

Iran Theater- Ali Nasirian is one of the well-known and influential figures in Iranian cinema, theater and television, an actor who has been active for more than five decades and has a special place in Iranian art circle.

Nasirian is one of the actors who started his career from theater and has had attention to Iranian drama and a special attention to this field.

19th International Festival of Ritual and Traditional Performances has named its various sections in the name of prominent figures of Iranian plays   And there is the "Takht Roohoozi" section called Ali Nasirian.

Nasirian is the honorary president of this edition of festival as well.

Ten years ago, he had spoken about the performances of  “Takht Roohoozi”: Just be fascinated by tradition, not bewildered by the pleasures of the people, because Takht roohoozi show is so charming, so sweet, full of humor, full of dance, singing and music; in some cases it can help our theater, but not all of theater should be Takht Roohoozi .

“We always wanted to have a modern and lively Iranian theater based on our own traditional, social, historical and literary themes, not to be technically unaware of Western theater, or to ignore new experiences in the field.”

Ali Nassirian  is an Iranian film and theater actor and director, who plays both character and leading roles. Nassirian whilst gaining experience in screen writing during 1955 to 1958, he was granted a scholarship for theatrical studies in the United States in 1962. Upon his return to Iran he started teaching theatre and screen writing as well as acting on stage. In 1957, he was employed by the Bureau of dramatic arts as an actor and director.
