Contemporary French author Didier Van Cauwelaert is widely known

Iran Theater- Two single women, depressed and in need of treatment, and a boisterous psychoanalyst are the characters of   the play “ The Astronomer” by Didier Van Cauwelaert. A modern, heavily straightforward, storytelling   play  that keeps the audience to the end. Stage director Asghar Nouri attracts  all the attention to the performance with a good understanding of the space of the show and  a quick rhythm.

Didier Van Cauwelaert (born 29 July 1960) is a French author of Belgian descent who was born in Nice. In 1994 his novel Un Aller simple won the Prix Goncourt.

In 1997 he was awarded the Grand Prix du Théâtre de l’Académie Française.

The play “ The Astronomer” by Didier Van Cauwelaert and translated and directed by Asghar Nouri  has gone on stage at City Theater Complex.

Asgar Nouri said:” Contemporary French author Didier Van Cauwelaert is widely known and widely publicized, and apart from being in touch with the general public, he has received a lot of attention from art and literary circles. Cauwelaert 's prose may seem simple, but it is full of deep and humane concepts and concerns that are important to many people around the world.”

He talked about the theme of loneliness in author's work:” It’s important element and And it's about what everyone expects from their lives, and the identity crisis is an important issue in this author's work. There also has  humour touch, and the author is keen to combine real space with unrealistic space or break the realistic boundaries in his work.”
