The show “Ten minutes and thirty-eight seconds before death” will run at Fadjr Int. Theater Festival

Iran Theater- Somayeh Mehri is a writer, psychoanalyst, producer, theater and television actress, and she directed “a bitter coffee” this spring  that acted by herself and Sharareh Rokham in Ostad Entezami Theater Hall.

 She will direct a holy defense show titled “Ten minutes and thirty-eight seconds before death”

 

About the theme of the show, Somaieh Mehri  said:The original idea of writing this play came to my mind when I read an article from the University of Austria about brain death.Randomly, the university selected 2,300 people with brain death After the survey, they found that 640 came to their senses, 230 shared common memories of the time of their death, and within 10 minutes and thirty-eight seconds had recounted all their  life memories. There are two characters in the play with the question of what they are facing at this time.”

Concerning the characters of the play, she also emphasized: I think this time is magical realism and the play has two male and female characters, Haidar and Somayeh.”
