Iran Theater- An Iranian official group, which had traveled to Slovakia on November 7-8 to celebrate Iran's cultural days, visited the Vienna National Opera House at the invitation of the Austrian Deputy Foreign Minister of Culture.
The visit was attended by Seyed Mojtaba Hosseini, Deputy Minister of Art of the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance, Mehdi Afzali, Director of the Rudaki Foundation and members of the National Orchestra of Iran. Machinery, backstage, stage equipment, venues and all the opera departments were visited. The visit was also attended by the Austrian Deputy Foreign Minister for Cultural Affairs Mrs. Teresa Indjein.
During his visit to Vienna, the Deputy Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance met with the Austrian Deputy Foreign Minister for Culture. The meeting was attended by Mehdi Afzali, Director of the Rudaki Foundation, Hamid Reza Madad, Iran's Embassy Officer in Vienna, as well as Head of the Austrian Foreign Ministry's Political Department, Peter Michel, Head of the Department of Cultural Strategies, Cooperation and Cultural Affairs, Christine Autengruber, Head of the Cultural Memorandum they had.
The Austrian Chancellery of Culture also announced the readiness of this institution for cultural cooperation with Iran in the continuation of the meeting.
At the end of the meeting it was decided to follow up on the operational issues of cultural cooperation from both sides. Seyed Mojtaba Hosseini also presented the Iranian artwork to the Austrian Deputy Foreign Minister for Culture.
