Iran Theater- At a special meeting on contemporary theater, Alireza Koushak Jalali assessed the lack of communication between people, artists and artworks as an important vacuum in Iranian theater and said: "Unfortunately, in Iran, the play is either so modern or postmodern that the audience has nothing to do with it. It doesn't work out or they are as happy feast one of my biggest concerns is the lack of communication between the audience and the artists that has created a huge hole in this field.”
He added: "The difference between theater in Iran and Europe is that theaters are not just filled by intellectuals and the upper class, but watching the show is one of the main culture of families.”
The theater director noted: A show should not merely present a moral and social manifesto, but a good show is entertaining and something to remember because it has to do something to influence it.
"The most difficult philosophical issues must be raised so that ordinary people can also fully understand them," Jalali said.
“In the cities we have nothing short of talent, and when the training is done in the right way, everything goes well, but the underlying problems undermine the ability of theater activists.”
He added:” We say that in countries like Germany, France or the UK, watching theater is part of the cultural portfolio of families, because that is the context. And as an audience in a city like Cologne, with a population of one and a half thousand people, you have 2 or 3 theaters per night that you can choose to watch, and that only happens with the support of governments.”
