Sohrab Salimi, in his most recent directorial experience, directs the play " Who’s Mr. Schmidt?" Written by Sebastien Thierry and translated by Shahla Haeri. It has been on stage at Artist Forum salon.
He said about Sebastian Thierry's features:” Thierry is a contemporary playwright, actor, comedian, photographer and contemporary French theater director. Who won Molières, Prize for the play, Who’s Mr. Schmidt?" . The story is about a middle-aged couple named Ghuchi”
As an artist, what changes do you make to the plays, He answered:” I always rewrite plays and incorporate my beliefs into the performances while I consider living conditions in Iran.”
Is Mr. Ghuchi's suicide attempt based on the humiliating words his son says or has he undergone a mental breakdown?
He replied:” Both of them. Mr. Ghuchi somehow does not consciously want to repeat Mr. Schmidt's path. At the same time, when the black kid is imposed on him as a child by Carl, this unbearable pressure forces him to make the final decision and commit suicide.”
