I will be back with “Return”

Iran Theater- Farid Ghobadi, who has been able to continue his effective presence in theater and cinema in recent years, is set to return to the stage with  Hossein Mosafer Astaneh’s “Return”, after the end of  lockdown.

“I am going to play in Tele -theater “Return directed by Hossein Mosafer Astaneh, after the end of the social restrictions because of coronavirus pandemic. A play that had a successful performance in the late summer at Tehran’s City Theater Complex and was scheduled to be performed again at Sarv Hall from March, but  it was postponed. I had some talks with Mehran Ranjbar to play in his  show as well.” Farid Ghobadi said to Iran Theater.

 

While he  pointed to the pleasant experience of playing in the show “Marlon Brando”' in  last year, Ghobadi stated: "After some performances of  Marlon Brando  in Festival, in which Mehran Imam Bakhsh could not attend, we had rehearsed for a long time to perform at the Fadjr International Theater Festival. We  had two performances in Iranshahr Theater Complex and it had good responses, and unfortunately, due to Coronavirus pandemic, the public performance of the play was canceled again.”

He added:” Due to my different approach to playing a role compared to Mehran Imam Bakhsh, changes were made in the performance at the festival. I did not follow the example of Brando's physical and behavioral style. Despite Mehran Ranjbar's reluctance, I hope that the situation will be such that this show will go on stage, because I rehearsed a lot and I would like it to have a public performance.”
