The 23rd Iran Int. University Theater Festival to Hold

Iran Theater-The secretary of the 23rd  Iran International University Theater Festival announced that this edition  will be held from November 10 to November 21 with the approval of the policy council of the festival.

Mojtaba Jedi, the secretary of the 23rd Iran International University Theater Festival, who had previously announced the change in the timing of the event due to coronavirus pandemic said: festival will be held from November 11 to November 21 of this year. The call for the 23rd festival will be published in the first week of next month, and students can register for the festival.”

He explained about the changes in the festival process: "In the 23rd festival, we removed the process of re-reading and initial evaluation of plays and drafts, and the applicant students can enter the review stage by registering, because some plays and drafts are incomplete and, if they will be re-read and evaluate, missed the opportunity to participate in the review stage.”

“The radio theater section was re-added to festival with an interaction with my friends whom work in radio, all students from all over the country could apply to participate in this section. We also added a stage replica section for stage design students. In this edition Festival of festival section, which Previously, the works of the "Experience" festival and the University of Art and Sooreh could participate in it. In the 23rd period, all universities across the country that have domestic festivals can participate in this section.”

 At the end he said:” Every year, the Ministry of Science allocates funds for the Festival, and if the festival's expenses exceed the set budget, we should seek sponsors. In this edition, we will also have a program to attract financial sponsors, and the interesting thing is that we have had good offers in these fields for the international, advertising and education departments.
