Coronavirus pandemic to increase artists’ problems

Iran Theater-In the first days of Coronavirus pandemic, Culture, art and media sections was affected by the pandemic.Abbas Salehi said in “Shahr Farangh” program, a live Talk show in I.R.I.B.

Iran Theater-In the first days of Coronavirus pandemic, Culture, art and media sections was affected by the  pandemic.Abbas Salehi said in “Shahr Farangh”  program, a live Talk show in I.R.I.B.

He added:” Some of the activities of these people were accompanied by gatherings, and before the announcement of the closure, some of them shut down their activities themselves, , these activities have been closed for about two months.”

He stressed that Coronavirus pandemic has had an impact on all areas of culture, the arts and the media, and has caused huge financial losses.

“In the music section, we have 4,000 music groups, 80 theater halls in Tehran, 250 to 300  art galleries, fashion and clothing houses, 26,000 art schools, etc., which have suffered a lot of losses due to the closure.”

A member of the Supreme Council of the Cultural Revolution stated: 236 thousand copies of books have been sold in the some platforms. The "Every Book , a Book Reader" and "Every House , a Book" campains, online  Theater shows, online concert, daily new program in streaming networks have been some of deputy officials’s actions.”

Salehi continued: "artists activities in the field of health are another significant measure in this regard." More than a thousand artists in various national media and cyberspace campaigns have introduced people to health education, or artists' letters with the aim of not restriction Iran to independent artists around the world, which also received good feedback.”
