Shokooh Najm Abadi Passed Away In Paris

Iran Theater-shokooh Najm Abadi, a veteran stage actress which was very active in 60’s and 70’s passed away in Paris.

She was ex -wife of Abbas Na’lbandian, well-known dramatist  who lived in Paris.

Shokooh Najm Abadi was a member of  Kargah Namayesh Theater Troup.

She acted in Arbi Avansian’s “ The Cherry Orchard” in 1972, the show that opened Tehran’s City Theater Complex.

She acted in the cult  movie “ The Cow” by Dariush Merhjoui.

The Cow  is a 1969 Iranian film directed by Dariush Mehrjui, written by Gholam-Hossein Saedi based on his own play and novel, and starring Ezzatolah Entezami as Masht Hassan. Critics widely consider it the first film of the Iranian New Wave.
