I will act in Mehdi Haghparast’s ”Proof”

Iran Theater-Darya Yaser said” After Coronavirus pandemic is over, I will act in Mehdi Haghparast’s Proof.’

“I am going to play in Proof written by David Auburn directed by Mehdi Haghparast. The play was scheduled to be staged in the main hall of Molavi Theater from May 1, and due to the closure of theaters, the performance was postponed  duo coronavirus pandemic.” Darya Haghparast said.

Proof is a 2000 play by the American playwright David Auburn. Proof was developed at George Street Playhouse in New Brunswick, New Jersey, during the 1999 Next Stage Series of new plays. The play premiered Off-Broadway in May 2000 and transferred to Broadway in October 2000. The play won the 2001 Pulitzer Prize for Drama and the Tony Award for Best Play.

She explaind:’ The story is about the life of a mathematician girl (Catherine) that I play. The story involves about Catherine’s relationship with her father, who is also a mathematician. The characters in this play have a kind of madness, melancholy, mania and madness. The play has four characters and Amir Hossein Spanj plays the father. Helen Haghgoo and Jalal Mohebbi are the other actors in this play.”

David Auburn (born November 30, 1969) is an American playwright, screenwriter, and theatre director. He is best known for his 2000 play Proof.
