The reopening time of theaters is uncertain

Iran Theater- Qader Ashna, director general of the performing Arts Center stressed that the reopening of the theaters hall has not yet been decided and a request for a meeting with the National Fight with Coronavirus Headquarters regarding the state of theatrical activity during the post-coronavirus pandemic has been submitted.

Qader Ashna, director general of the Performing Arts Center, said about the discussion in different places about the reopening of theaters in the next month: Each class, department and ministry has its own concerns for resuming its activities by improving the prevalence of coronavirus, and in the field of cinema and theater, resuming activities is one of the concerns of the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance.

Emphasizing that the time for reopening the theaters has not yet been determined, he added: The Art Department is concerned about the activities of its five sub-categories, including theater, music, visual arts, fashion , and training centers, and has held various meetings for each of the fields, including theater, with managers and officials.

He explained the results of the meetings: The point that came to our mind was to submit a draft to the National fight against Coronavirus Headquarters stating what should happen and what should be considered if theaters hall are reopened.

At the end he said: "In this meeting, we intend to explain the concerns of theater community, the difference between theater activities and cinema and music, as well as the differences between  various theater halls, so that we can reach a conclusion on how to resume activities at the end of the crisis."
