Iran Theater- The director general of the Performing Arts  Center announced an agreement with the Cinema Organization to expedite the licensing process for film theaters without re-examination.

Qader Ashna, director general of the performing arts center, said: "I've talked to Dr.Hossein Entezami- CEO of Cinema organization- about  Film Theater before, but when something new happens, it's normal for it to run into trouble or time. I was looking for a joint venture based on what we were talking about, and they agreed that we should send the works . let them do the work quickly in the council.”

He added:” But then we agreed that any show that has been  filmed and is applying to be screened (in V.O.Ds), at the General Directorate of Performing Arts  center we would approve their content to be sent to the cinema organization. The organization is no longer waiting for the council's review to take more time, and they will apply our approval, and a permit will be issued for film theater.”

According to the report, with the Coronavirus outbreak and the emphasis on home quarantine, some artists sought to release their film theater on  stream channel, but a number of these applicants ran into trouble because they were told they had to get a new license from the cinema organization. This led to a mass protest by theater artists, who saw it as a parallel process in the Ministry of Guidance.
