Holding art events in cyberspace is only allowed with the approval of the Ministry of Guidance

Iran Theater- Public Relations and Information Center of the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance has issued a statement  and announced Holding art events in cyberspace must be within the legal framework of the country and be approved by this ministry.

They announced: Holding cultural and artistic events in cyberspace is allowed only within the framework of the current laws and regulations of the country and with the approval of the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance.

The statement was issued by the Public Relations and Information Center of the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance and is as follows:

1- Due to the increase in online cultural and artistic productions, we welcome the increase in the holding of cultural and artistic events by organizations and institutions in cyberspace.

2- The content principles and rules of online production and supply of cultural and artistic products and works of art are subject to the rules of production of cultural products, and the mere availability of the supply platform in cyberspace cannot violate those regulations.

3- Holding campaigns, festivals and other cultural, artistic and media events in cyberspace without the coordination of this ministry is also illegal.

4- The instructions for issuing licenses and supervising the supply of cultural and artistic works through online media will also be finalized and will be announced soon.

5- With the announcement of the mentioned instruction, any supply of cultural, artistic and media products in digital platforms should be in coordination with the relevant departments in the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance.

6- Deciding on a virtual book fair is with the Policy Council of the Book Fair and the Cultural Deputy of the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance, and any exhibition or book supply platform as "Tehran Virtual Book Fair" outside this process is invalid.
