Iran Theater-“ Me, you, us; Theater, Life, corona is a project that will be  performed from today to June 21 under the management of the Street Theater Office of the General Directorate of Performing Arts Center .

Street performances have begun in Tehran and several other cities.Twelve troupes in Tehran will have 48 performances for 10 nights, while other street performances will take place in the provinces of Gilan, Qazvin, Kerman, and Kermanshah.heater troupes in Tehran and four other provinces have resumed street performances after all cultural activities were shut down due to the COVID-19 pandemic for over three months

 

He talks about the implementation of the street theater project entitled Me, You, Us, Theater, Life, corona.

“After the closure of the theater for a few months, due to the outbreak of Coronavirus, we decided to execute this plan with the permits we received from the Coronavirus fight Headquarters. In the meetings we had with Mr. Qader Ashna, director of the Performing Arts Center. He emphasized the importance of resuming theatrical activities.

These activities begin with a street theater performance and continue with stage performances. Following this meeting, we made the necessary plans and negotiated with the street theater officials in the provinces to complete the project.”

He spoke about the provinces that have cooperated in this regard.
“Initially, the provinces of Tehran, Kerman, Gilan, Qazvin and Kermanshah were selected to start work. In Tehran, 12 theater groups are performing street theater shows. In other cities, the project is being  done with the participation of the General Directorate of Islamic Culture and Guidance and the offices of the Provincial Performing Arts centers. Plans have also been made for other provinces to gradually participate in the project.

He explains the health tips.
“To perform the shows, we follow all the health protocols. Stage surfaces are disinfected. There is also a spacing plan for the seats. There is a distance for the standing spectators, and my colleagues and I monitor everything every night. In the discussion of the play, we try to observe the distance between the actors of the play, who are mainly two people.
