The play Qovid 18 owes much to Iran's traditional play

AmirHossein Ensafi is a director that has participated in the street theater project Me, you, us; Theater, Life, corona.

In an interview with Iran Theater, he spoke about the effects of holding the project “Me, you, us; Theater, Life, corona and expressed his views.

He said:” In the current situation, and in order to normalize and resume theatrical activities, holding such a project in the form of street theater creates an opportunity, like most classes, to communicate with the audience by observing health protocols. Because these shows are performed in the open air, there is no danger for the audience. For stage section, we have to secure the environment and use a proper and standard ventilation to resume performances.”

The director spoke about the theme of “the Qovid 18”.

“This play is based on traditional Iranian plays and Siah Bazi. It is used in the common jokes between Haji and Mubarak, and Amir Mohammad Ensafi and I play the roles. The events of the play go back to the negligence we did before and after the Cornavirus outbreak.”
