Iran Theater-Pezhman Abdi, a young playwright is writing his new play “Captain Chips” in these days.
Pejman Abdi is one of the talented and creative directors of the young generation who has studied theater with professors such as Mostafa Oskooi and has collaborated with great people such as Bahram Beizai. He performed a successful show for Iron Hats two years ago
Abdi said his new play has a space atmosphere to the Pirates of the Caribbean and is timeless .
"I'm writing a play called Captain Chips," he said of his new work.
“The fantasy and absurd atmosphere of the show is similar to my previous play iron hats and has a wider production than the previous works, it has more personality and has a large and complex decor.”
Abdi said about the story of the play:” The names of the characters are also fictional, and like Iron Hats, which I played with words; In Captain Chips, I've did it. The three main characters in the show, who are three brothers, have names like, Bo, Ha and Hey, and Captain Chips' character is very similar to Johnny Depp's character in Pirates of the Caribbean. I hope that the conditions will be provided in the coming months for performance, and the appropriate hall for show is the Samandarian Hall of Iranshahr Theater Complex.”
