Rouzbeh Akhtari:

I will direct Éric-Emmanuel Schmitt ‘s Frederick

Iran Theater- Akhtari said: "The events and the kind of relations that exist in the play Frederick are very similar to the current state of our society, especially the theatrical and cinematic society."

In an interview with Iran Theater, Roozbeh Akhtari said about her new work activities: "I have been working for some time on the play   Frederick written by  Eric-Emmanuel Schmidt to prepare it fot performance. Of course, I decided to perform this play that was translated by Shahla Haeri since 4 years ago , and the rehearsals have started with the presence of some actors, and if the conditions are right, the play will be staged in November.”

Frédérick or Boulevard du Crime is a play by French author Éric-Emmanuel Schmitt. It was published in 1998 and premiered at Théâtre Marigny on September 22, 1998.

The director noted about the changes in the play:”If we want to perform it completely, the performance time will be about three and a half hours. For this reason, by removing some of the moments of the show, the running time became two hours. Of course, if the show is performed in a standard and first-class hall such as Vahdat Hall, the audience will never get tired of watching long plays due to the quality of the performance. I thought about making parts of the show musical I would like the audience to get better by watching the show due to the situation of the society  in these days. The general atmosphere of  play  is  happy , and the final parts have a romantic atmosphere, and the Iranian audience has a special interest in both comedy and romantic themes.”
