“The Other Survivors ”will be staged at Iranshahr Theater Complex

In an Interview with Iran Theater, a young stage Director ,Mehrdad Mostafavi talked about his recent activities.

“I will prepare the play other survivors written by Sanaz Asadi for performance. The work is a social work, and the passage of time in the old house is examined in  two decades .The rehearsals for the play were largely held in the winter of last year, and we had a show time for Iranshahr Theater  Complex in March, which was postponed due to the Coronavirus  outbreak.”

on the main theme of the play, the director said: "The main theme is death. The performance style of the play is somewhat different from the realistic form; My approach is minimalistic such as my previous performance, Elephant in the Dark . The story begins with the death of the mother of the family and there is no female character in the play; The main drama of the story revolves around female characters. There are five male characters in the play who constantly talk about women; Men who belong to the middle class of society and their job is sewing. The manner of speaking and discourse of these five men changes according to the changes of two decades.”

Ebrahim Azizi, Amin Janani, Aidin Bahari, Parham Yadollahi and Davood Pejmanfar star in the play.
