Sanam Sarmad to Iran Theater:
I will direct “’I’m a Woman” in Fall

Iran Theater- Sarmad said: I am trying to provide the conditions to restage the play "I am a woman” .
Sanam Sarmad talked about her recent activities during coronavirus pandemic.
She said : “I am trying to provide the conditions to restage the play I am a woman . This play was staged in April of 2019 in Hall No. 2 of Sepand Theater . Sepideh Jafari, Mehdi Malek, Blour Sadat Kasaian, Somayeh Piriaei, Mohammad Pourakbar and me played in it and according to the circumstances, we will change in the cast.”
Regarding the changes that are going to take place in the new performance of "I Am a Woman", she said: "The most important thing is the producer, with whom we had a challenge last year. This was also effective in the performance."
She added:” The play is based on the documentary theater technique and is a social work with a critical look at the living conditions of women in the society. The story deals with the lives of 4 women. The main plot is inspired by the first transgender person and based on some real stories of murder and crimes related to several women, the news of which has also been published in Internet and social media and is more or less familiar to the people. Murders such as the killing of a woman on the road by a car lock, the murder of a girl who has a disagreement with her husband a week after marriage, the discussion of the life of the first transgender person in Iran to change their gender, the challenges of a girl from a religious family in Shiraz and so on.”
