The theater holidays were announced during Muharram
Iran Theater- At the beginning of Muharram and the days of mourning for Imam Hussein (AS) and his faithful companions, the General Directorate of Performing Arts announced the closure of the theater halls.
All comedy-themed plays, musical plays, or works that use live music in their performances will not be staged from the first night of Muharram, equal to Thursday, August 20, to Wednesday, September2 (equivalent to 13 Muharram al-Haram).
Other plays that are not in this genre will be closed on the occasion of the mourning days of Imam Hussein (from Friday, August 28 (equivalent to 8 Muharram al-Haram) to Wednesday, September 3 (equivalent to 13 Muharram al-Haram).
