Veteran actor Bahman Mofid passed Away

Iran Theater –Bahman Mofid passed away after a battling with cancer at 78.
According to one of his close relatives, Bahman Mofid, who was being treated for lung cancer in the past year, passed away a few hours ago at his home in Tehran at the age of 78 on Tuesday August 16.
He was born in July 27,1942 in Tehran. He was born into a completely artistic family and his family origins went back to the village of Gerkan in the city of Arak. He grew up in Shahbaz neighborhood and lived in a neighborhood with artists such as Masoud Kimiaei and Ahmad Reza Ahmadi.
Before and after the revolution, he had worked in Iranian cinema and began his cinematic career in 1969 with a short role in the film of Qaisar (Masoud Kimiaei). He found popularity due to the famous dialogue in Qaisar
Bahman Mofid's latest cinematic activity is related to the movie "Birthday Anthem", which was produced in 2004.
Regarding the time and the funeral, his niece said that the time of the funeral is still unknown: "He loved the people and was always grateful for their kindness, but due to the current situation (Coronavirus outbreak) we may not be able to receive people for the funeral." so we thank them in advance.
