How did the main idea of writing a play about Abu Ali Sina come about?
I was offered to write a play based on an Iranian character or culture by the Intellectual Development of Children and Adolescents Center, and in the meetings we had, I was scheduled to write a play about Bu Ali Sina; A character that was also my favorite.
Was Bu Ali Sina attractive to you because of his medical knowledge?
For me, the discussion of music therapy thesis presented by Bu Ali Sina was very interesting. In some of his works, Bu Ali Sina mentions the effects of some music songs for the treatment of a number of diseases; I also wrote the play about this theme. Therefore, the play is not necessarily the biography of Bu Ali Sina. In the play, a boy meets Bu Ali Sina. The boy is looking for a cure for pain and is related to him.
Is the structure of the play a non-linear?
No, It is linear and we have a personality that seeks to solve its problem.
Did you research books about Bu Ali Sina to write the play?
I had a series of searches in the available sources and the works of Bu Ali Sina himself, and the music therapy section of his works, treatise Pulse and the book law were my main sources of reference.
What title did you choose for the play?
The title is based on the name of one of Bu Ali Sina's treatises, Pluse. There are narrations about Bu Ali Sina, who was such an expert and intelligent physician that he could diagnose and treat people by taking their pulse.
