Albert Camus’s The Misunderstanding will go on stage

Iran Theater- Albert Camus’s The Misunderstanding will go on stage at Daa Namayesh Hall.

Directed by Nima Zaker, the play  will be run from September 6 - 25 at 8:30 PM.

Director wrote a note about his latest work. He  believed  that The Misunderstanding tries to draw the audience away from any margin to the inner depths of existence and human dimensions and to express everything in the sense. In this play, we have been completely faithful to it  but the conditions of these days and the coronavirus pandemic caused We have removed parts of the play so that the spectator does not stay in the hall for a long time and we have done our best to deal with the main concept and philosophy of Camus.

 

The Misunderstanding (French: Le Malentendu), sometimes published as Cross Purpose, is a play written in 1943 in occupied France by Albert Camus. It focuses on Camus’ idea of The Absurd.

 

A man who has been living overseas for many years returns home to find his sister and widowed mother are making a living by taking in lodgers and murdering them. Since neither his sister nor his mother recognize him, he becomes a lodger himself without revealing his identity.
