Houshang Motamedi was a veteran of Kurdistan theater

Qader Ashna, Director General of Performing Arts, sent a message of condolences on the death of Houshang Motamedi, the great man of Kurdistan Theater.

He wrote:

Houshang Motamedi, who is known as the "veteran of Kurdistan theater", a great man who spent 57 years of his precious life on the art of theater, died, and this loss and such migrations hurt the hearts of artists and theater fans.

The founder of the "Babak" theater group had a history of collaborating with the great artists of this region, from Bahram Beyzai to Behrooz Gharibpour and Qotbuddin Sadeghi, and had endless honor and respect in the hearts of his students and lovers.”

Houshang Motamedi died at the age of 87. He started working in theater at 60’s and worked with famous  stage artists such as Nemat Asadolahi, Bahram Beyzai , Behrooz Gharibpour and … .
