I’m writing Corona Days

Iran Theater-"The story is about a family that has been planning to travel abroad for the first time in years," Ashtari said about her recent play.

She said about her new works: "I am writing a play called Corona Days, which is directly related to our living conditions in this period, and after finishing the final draft, I will decide on the time of its performance."

 

Referring to the social aspects of her work, the playwright added: "I have also used a bitter humor in the text. The story is about a family who have been planning to travel abroad for the first time in years. They save their money to provide the travel conditions. When their money is enough to travel and they decide to travel for Norouz 1399, but the outbreak of the corona disrupts their situation.”

Referring to the devastating effects of coronavirus on the family's life, the director explained: "One of the family members also tests positive the coronavirus, and at this time, old wounds and discrepancies arise, and unpleasant things happen."

 

Regarding the choosing the cast,  she said: "I would like to use genuine theatrical performers in the acting team, and I have some of them in mind, and I am waiting for the play to be completed so that I can   negotiate  with them."
