I ‘ll direct "A Glass Full of Mercury" in the middle of winter
Iran Theater- Mohammad Mehdi Dejpsand is a young stage director and playwright who has been working in and out of the country for many years.
He wrote and directed many shows such as If we start again, the father of the Holy Spirit, three points, cafes in love and sheep in love.
About his recent works, He said: "I am busy writing the play" I am a glass of mercury ", which is a social and historical work about the events of the first decades in the twentieth century in Europe and has nine character.
Then he explained the theme of the play,” The story is about the events of World War I, when a herd of wolves attacks two warring factions, the Allies and Axis powers. They declare a ceasefire to fight the wolf herd. A few years after the end of the war, the research team investigates several topics that may have been behind the wolf attack to find out if it was real or intentional. The main drama of the play is a glass full of mercury in the interrogation court.”
Referring to the use of symbols in the creation of his work, the director stated: Under the pretext of defining a story, I have symbolically criticized the militant spirit among people. At the end of the story, the audience realizes that this story takes place in the world of wolves.”
Dejpsand said that he has decided to perform this play myself in a black box hall in the middle of winter.
