Iran Theater- Seyed Mojtaba Hosseini, Deputy Minister of Arts of the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance, expressed his condolences on the death of Parviz Pourhosseini.
Veteran stage and screen actor Parviz Poorhosseini died of COVID-19 at the age of 79 at Tehran’s Firuzgar Hospital on Friday morning, his son Purang has confirmed.
He tested positive and was admitted to the hospital two weeks ago.
Seyed Mojtaba Hosseini wrote : We hoped that Parviz Poorhosseini would recover from illness, but alas, we lost the valuable actor and artist of our country, and another great sorrow mourned the culture and art community and Iran. “
He added:” Poorhosseini played a continuous role in the field of art for several decades and contributed to the movement and growth of Iranian theater, cinema and art. Pourhosseini is one of the immortals of the Iranian art scene and his name, memory and art are immortal in the memory and lives of the people.”
