Ezzatollah Mehravaran to Iran Theater
I will direct "The Bench"

Iran Theater- Mehravaran said: "If the situation becomes normal, I will direct the one-character and the monologue play" Bench ".
In an interview with Iran Theater, Ezzatollah Mehravaran, a veteran and well-known actor and director talked about his new theatrical activities, "In recent months, I have had the opportunity to act in several TV series. I have also written the play" Bench " and I am waiting for the performance conditions of the show to improve.”
He stated about the theme and atmosphere of the play "Bench": I had written the original of this play in 1973 and lately I rewrote it according to the current conditions of the society. The story is about a woman coming and going in an abandoned park and there is only one bench in it. The woman sits on the bench and tells the people passing by that she will die in 45 minutes. She takes out a number of condolence pages from inside her bag and starts reading to people. The last page of condolence she gets from inside her bag belongs to herself. The one-character show is performed in a monologue.”
Regarding the venue for the performance, he said: "I had talks with the Veteran Art Institute to prepare a hall for the play, which has been postponed due to the Coronavirus pandemic."
Mehravaran explained about the choice of the actress for his show: "Because the play is a single character, I plan to use one of the experienced actresses with theatrical backgorund to cope with this difficult role, and I have several options in mind that I have not yet reached a final conclusion."
