The Closing  Ceremony of Resistance Theater Festival was held

Iran Theater- The closing ceremony of the 17th National Resistance Theater Festival was held on Tuesday night at Vahdat Hall, and the women won the most awards with 29 awards and plaques

The ceremony was attended by various artists and officials, including Mohammad Hossein Saffar Harandi, member of the Expediency Discernment Council, Hossein Mosafer Astaneh, secretary of the Fajr Theater Festival, Reza Basirat, director of the Performing Arts Association, Mohammad Yashar Naderi, director of the Ravayat Fatah Foundation, Hamid Nili, secretary of the festival, Hojjatoleslam Behdarvand, Hamidreza Eftekhari Director General of Performing Arts Radio and….

Mohamad Soluki was presenter of the ceremony.

Hamid Nili, the secretary of the festival, said in the opening speech of the ceremony: "This valuable art, which gains strength from the intersection of performing arts and the art of observation, faced the threat of the coronavirus pandemic during this period and the vacancy of enthusiasts was very noticeable. Although this situation forced us to hold the festival online, it provided new capacities for directors and artists, which will definitely lead to serious changes for this art in the future.”

He further called the enthusiastic and strong presence of students that led to the creation of new perspectives in this field as a feature of the seventeenth edition.

There was the powerful presence of the audience in different sections of the festival and the actual visit of 70,000 people to its website and virtual programs, we are happy that the audience acted as judge in this festival.In a part of the closing ceremony, the Iran Theater website was praised.

The show “Where Are You Ebrahim” by Lili Aaj won the Soleimani Award, a special prize of the event.Mahnaz Rudsaz won the best actress award and Ali Farahnak won the best actor award. both of them acted “Liliet” by Mohammadreza Shahmardi.Shahmardi received best playwright  prize for “Liliet”, and the award for best director went to Alireza Marufi for “The Bodies”.

In the street section, Simin Behfar won the best actress award for the play “Gravel Path”, and Iman Nazifi received the award for best actor for “6599” by Masud Barahini. Barahini received the best director award.Actor and street theater expert Morteza Vakilian was honored with a lifetime achievement award, and the play “Epidemic” by Saeid Badini was honored for the best teamwork. The children’s special award was given to Hurad Habibi for narration of the play “Years before That Event”.

 

The ceremony paid  tribute  to Kurosh Zarei, who is also the director of the Art Bureau’s Center for Dramatic Arts, and dramatist Nasrollah Qaderi.
