We did not have a policy to neglect foreign plays
Iran Theater- The secretary of the 39th Fajr Theater Festival clarified the reasons for the small presence of foreign plays in different sections of the festival, he said that we had no policy to neglect foreign plays.
The line-ups of different sections of the 39th Fadjr Theater Festival have been introduced, and one of the points that draws attention is the minimal presence or even absence of foreign plays among the lists.
Hossein Mosafer Astaneh, the secretary of the 39th Fadjr Theater Festival, told Mehr News Agency about the lack of foreign plays in this edition of the festival: "The priority was the quality of performance and we did not differentiate between Iranian and foreign plays. We had no policy of removing foreign plays from the festival, and foreign works were not excluded."
He emphasized:” The only criterion for selecting stage shows was the quality of the performances.”
He added:” At the moment, the festival performances will definitely be performed with 50% of the capacity of the halls, and we hope that this will happen.”
