Holding the Fadjr Theater Festival is promising

In recent years, Neda Shahrokhi has had an effective presence in the field of acting, theater  hall  management and  theater teaching. Shahrokhi, who is a member of selection committee for other types of performances at the Fadjr Theater Festival talked to Iran Theater,

She said: The coronavirus outbreak has effect in holding  theater festival. Theatrical activities have been stagnant for a long time, and if the festival is held with the right policy and the observance of health protocols, it can be hopeful. From the works that applied to participate in other types section, I expected that they would adapt themselves to the coronavirus pandemic, and the artists of this kind of performance thought that maybe the festival would be held in absentia and virtual theater.”

She added:” According to this premise, they sent their executive ideas to the festival. But other than two or three works, other groups were inattentive to this issue and some works were designed based on location at all. We paid attention to all these  and We came to the conclusion that location-based works should be performed in the festival with the presence of a limited number of spectators”

“Our priority was works that were designed either online or in the presence of only one or two spectators. Festival officials also believed that it was not possible to predict the situation until the festival began, and at that time there was still no word on the possibility of spectators.”
