Celebrating two artists at the closing ceremony of the Tehran Puppet Festival

Iran Theater- The 18th Tehran-Mubarak Puppet Show Festival appreciates the efforts of two artists.
A tribute is planned for Iraj Mohammadi and Mohammad Hassan Aboui Mehrizi at the closing ceremony of the festival.
Both awards are scheduled to take place at the closing ceremony of the festival, which will be held on Sunday, March 7th.
Iraj Mohammadi,( born in 1952 in Malayer), is a puppet show expert from the Faculty of Fine Arts, University of Tehran.
Mohammad Hassan Aboui Mehrizi is a tYazdi teacher with more than 20 years of teaching experience in Yazd and Mehriz schools. He has a master's degree in art research, but his major is painting and his focus is on watercolors painting. However, the interest in showing puppets and Mubarak puppets has led him to learn how to make these dolls in schools and universities for about 10 years.
He teaches students to make puppet with disposable materials and in various ways.
In addition to making puppets, Mehrizi explains the history of ritual theater to his students, and in his class, he shows films of masters' such as the late Khamsei or Behrouz Gharibpour’s works so that students can also obtain the necessary information.
