The writing of the book "Wait, Laugh, Think" is over

Amir Karbalaeizadeh, a  writer,  theater and television actor and director said in an interview with Iran Theater about his working conditions: "Recently, I wrote the first specialized book in the field of stand-up comedy in Iran entitled" Wait, Laugh, Think. I have explained the techniques of performing stand-up comedy and it will be published in July.”

 

The actor said about the structure of the book "Wait, Laugh, Think": "The book is based on personal experiences and teachings that I have given in my classes so far. In part of the book, I have also dealt with external sources." In this book, I have tried to refer to the history of stand-up comedy in Iran before and after the revolution, and I have done a comparative study between the style of comedy in the East and the West of the world.”

 

About the method of performing Iranian stand-up, he added: "Explaining the Iranian method and technique of stand-up comedy is one of the important topics in the book, and the use of these important techniques, which are among the necessary tools for performing stand-up properly, has been studied in detail. Part of the book is dedicated to photography.”

 

"It is a good method and now it is being approached and a number of friends are teaching it online while performing stand-up comedy.”, Karbalaei said about the online performance of stand-up comedy during pandemic.
