Massoud Delkhah:
I will direct "The Trial of Christ" in the fall

Iran Theater- Delkhah said: "If the situation improves, I will direct the play The Trial of Christ based on the novel The Master and Margarita."
The Master and Margarita is a novel by Russian writer Mikhail Bulgakov, written in the Soviet Union between 1928 and 1940 during Stalin's regime. A censored version was published in Moscow magazine in 1966–1967, after the writer's death. The manuscript was not published as a book until 1967, in Paris.
Massoud Delkhah said:” Since last year, I have been working on the book Master and Margarita to perform a play entitled "The Trial of Christ" and I have finished writing the play and rewriting it. The outbreak of the fourth wave of Coronavirus has taken away the opportunity to start rehearsals and perform the play. I would like the show to go on stage as conditions improve in the fall. The acting team is also a combination of theatrical professions and youth, and one of the main choices is Akbar Zanjanpour, who liked the play and accepted.”
Emphasizing the complexity and charm of Master and Margarita, he said: "Because of these complexities in the text, I used the opportunity of closing halls and did a few more rewrites on the text, and due to the large volume of the novel, only a part of it was used and I want to focus more on the narration of Jesus Christ in the book Nabokov, the issue of Judas and Jesus and their trial by the Jewish ruler of Jerusalem will be my serious approach in this performance.”
Referring to the publishing the book "In Search of a Pure Man", Dr. Delkhah said: "This book is my doctoral thesis and has been translated into Persian by Abdul Mohammad Delkhah and will be published soon."
