I intend to direct the play "Mouse and Men"

Payam Larian is an actor, writer and theater and cinema director who has worked with directors such as Ebrahim Hatami Kia.

He talked with Iran Theater about his recent works during pandemic.

He said:” In recent months, I have written several plays that have not been possible to perform due to the pandemic. The first play is called Derivation or Planet of the Apes and was published by the Namayesh publishers. The story is about five boys who one day decide not to talk anymore and to be silent and to change the time, and the story is complicated. The structure of the show is about Stream of consciousness and the work will be difficult in terms of performance.  , I will perform at Iranshahr Halls, but the show was not performed due to the outbreak of the third wave of corona sometimes ago.”

                                                                       

Referring to the characteristics of the Mediterranean play, the author said: This play is the life story of two people, one of whom is narrated from the beginning of the revolution until now, and the other is narrated from now until the beginning of the revolution. The work is a kind of chronicle of contemporary Iranian history in a social context. The play is full of personality and has more than 12 characters. The narrative form is complex.”

In the end, Larian said that the performance of this play is a priority for me .
