Bijan Afshar was born in 1965 in Tehran and got a bachelor's degree in theater acting from the Dramatic Arts university, Tehran University. He was a member of the Theater Forum and had acted in various plays. He started acting in cinema by playing a role in the movie Sweet Jam directed by Marzieh Boroumand in 2001.
He acted in the movies such as "Sweet Jam", "Restless Hearts", "In the Face of the Carrier", "Nothing Special", "Wall Street", "Wet Road Turn", "Taboo", "Raspberry" and some series like "Mokhtarnameh" "Shahriar", "Long Sleep", "Flying at Zero Altitude", "Yalda" and… .
