Qader Ashna:

Theater Troupes do not have to worry about empty seats

Iran Theater- The Director General of the Performing Arts Center ,Qader Ashna announced that the guidelines, which were implemented in 2020 to support 50% of the vacant capacity for theater troupes to perform during the pandemic, will continue until the end of September.

With the outbreak of the Coronavirus, the performances ceased, and theater groups did not have the proper conditions to produce and perform their works over the past year, and the frequent closures of theater halls made it difficult for stage artists to plan. The  theater groups  belonged to the  Group 3   and it  was the biggest reason for the frequent closures of the Theater halls during the past year, which fortunately was followed by the General Directorate of Performing Arts Center from the Ministry of Health .

When theatrical activities resumed, protocols for performances were considered, one of which was the use of 50% of the hall's capacity.

This use of 50 percent of the hall's capacity made it difficult to finance a performance, and a theater group had to incur severe financial losses in addition to rehearsing and producing its own work.
