" The King's New Clothes" will be staged in July

In an interview with Iran Theater, Laden Nazi, writer, designer, actress, and stage  director, said about the new works: I am waiting for the reopening  of halls and conditions so that I can  direct the play "The King's New Costume" again at Sangelaj Theater after it is closed in March due to the pandemic .   Th play had a successful performance in November and December of 2019 and was welcomed by the spectators and theater critics and became one of the most watched plays performed in Sangelaj  Theater Complex.”

 

 

Emphasizing the comedic structure of the show, she explained:” This play is a modern Iranian work using critical humor, and  during  the pandemic, seeing such plays improves the mood of the audience, and its author is Farzad Fakhrizadeh. The story is about  Ahmad Shah  from Qajar dynasty who  visit to England and at that time the law forbidding the use of foreign clothes was approved by the National Assembly and at the same time with this law, Ahmad Shah Qajar, the last Qajar king, traveled to England and was forced to sew an official cloth for himself with English cloth. But along the way, things happen that are unexpected for everyone and at the same time humorous and tragic.

 

 

Nazi announced the cast: The play has 4 main characters (Ahmad Shah, his brother, Vosough Al-Dawleh and Krizan) and a number of supporting characters. In this play star Iman Solgi, Misagh Aghamolaei, Bahram Abbasifard, Reza Jahani, Ali Ghorbankhani, Mahbad Qenatpisheh, Farideh Khazaei, Dorsa Elminejad, Sepideh Zeinali, Andia Hamidi, Mobina Rezaei Afshar and Atosa Beheshti .
