Maryam Mansouri to Iran Theater:
My show is a social work
Iran Theater- Maryam Mansouri, a playwright and director , has directed many show in recent years. These days, she has staged the play "We Came to Die Here" at the Sarv Hall.
In an interview with Iran Theater, Mansouri said about the theme and atmosphere of her work: "I have come here to die" is a social work about war. Last year, It had a successful performances in the Resistance Theater Festival and won the third prize for playwriting and our players Mohsen Pourshahi and Parham Rouin were honored. “
She added:”The story is about the Khorramshahr family who migrate to different cities such as Tehran after the start of the war and decide to return to Khorramshahr immediately after the end of war. Because the mother of the family is impatient to return and one of her sons is one of the commanders of the liberation of Khorramshahr. After the liberation of Khorramshahr, his plane crashed while returning to Tehran and no body was found from him.”
