This play, written and directed by Saeedeh Ajorbandian, was staged for one hour in February 2017 at Nofel Loshato Complex in Tehran and at the 37th Fadjr International Theater Festival in the Sayeh Hall of City Theater Complex.
The synopsis: "A man enters the old bathroom with a half-burnt face and combines his story with the life of an old woman who lives there."
Saeedeh Ajorbandian is a versatile artist and works in teaching, mask and make-up design, playwriting and directing.
Ajorbandian told Iran Theater about this play:” I did not intend to show any problems in the performance of the play. The performance of this play started from a one-line story with the theme that a man with a half-burned face enters a place where an old woman and a girl live and I I turned it into an abandoned women's bathroom. Of course, other characters are gradually added to the story. The presence of this man is due to a decree issued to change the use of the bathroom. The story of this man is combined with the story of an old woman living in the bathroom.
During the show, we realize how lonely each of these characters is and are subjugated by the social conditions around them, and in general, sometimes the situation becomes so difficult for some people that they want to get out of the situation they are in and go to a safe corner, while this does not help them because they have to solve their problem and not run away from it.”
Those who are interested can watch this play on Iran Theater TV.
