Iran Theater- You can't help but wonder how much watching two or three minutes of a professional show influences the fate of an interested audience.
Years ago, on channel 4 of I.R.I.B TV, there was a program about theater that showed part of films from stage plays each time. In the late 90’s, when I was still living in Kermanshah and had just started theater, my most important connection to the Tehran theater was this program. You may not believe how inspiring watching this two or three minutes was. For example, I saw a minute of silence by Mohammad Yaghoubi and I fell in love with him.
A few years later, in 2002, I was on a short trip to Tehran when my dear friend Rahman Hoshyari asked me to take the theatrical films recorded for him by the TV unit of the Performing Arts Centerand take them to Kermanshah, and God knows how exciting it was for me.
I took the videos and watched them several times before delivery. Cain and Sohuri by Dr. Qutbuddin Sadeghi. Some works by Dr. Rafiei…; How effective, informative and enjoyable.
